TRIVIA:
The original title of the movie was "Book Of The
Dead".
The Evil Dead actually took four years to complete,
from script to screen.
Director Sam Raimi's brother, Theodore "Ted"
Raimi, appears as Scotty's legs in one shot.
There was no cellar in the cabin where "The Evil
Dead" was filmed, so they dug out a 6ft hole in the earth floor
and put in half of a fake stairway, topping it off
with a trap door.
The cabin used in the film was
supposed to be haunted in real life.
The cabin burned down in the Spring of 1982.
